A summer solstice "timeline hop" exercise for you

an energy shifting journaling exercise

I suggest taking 15 minutes out of your day for a quick energy shifting exercise. If you feel this is something you may need, start by getting a blank piece of paper. Put on some music that matches your mood and a glass of water.

Make 2 columns on your paper.

In the left hand column, write down a list of everything that feels dense in your body. This can be physical symptoms, worries, tightness, a feeling of being stuck, relationship concerns, areas of confusion, whatever comes up for you.

Take a deep breath and look back at your list.

You actually just did most of the work!

Bringing your density to light was the most important part of the exercise.

The rest of this work is a bonus that will shift your energy onto a new trajectory.

From here, look at each item you wrote down, one by one.

Start at the top of your list and work your way down.

With each item that you wrote down, write across in the right handed column how you want to feel instead. How do you want to replace that energy?

For example, if I wrote “feeling stuck in my job, unsure of what I should do” on the left side, I would write how I want to feel in the right sided column… “I feel calm, at ease and well compensated at my job.”

If I wrote “my body has high blood pressure, foot swelling and brain fog” in the left sided column, I would write how I want to feel in the right column. “I feel ease within my body, clarity within my mind & cleansed within my system”.

As you do this exercise, you will feel your anxiety simmer down.

But most importantly…

you will get intuitive nudges on tangible next steps to take that will help you re-route in an aligned direction.

I do this exercise all of the time to “hop timelines” from a dense, unaligned timeline to a lighter, calmer, more aligned timeline.

As I do this exercise, I get intuitive nudges about small (sometimes big) next steps to take. Sometimes it’s a conversation I need to have with my partner or friend, sometimes it’s a boundary I need to put up on my energy, sometimes it’s movement my body is craving such as a night jog, sometimes it’s a change to my hours at work, sometimes it’s a doctor that I need to see, sometimes it’s a supplement or food my body is craving.

And sometimes it’s simply putting aside time to make homemade pizza & watch a marvel movie.

Feel into what you need. And jot down whatever “next steps” come to mind.

I do this exercise at least a few times a week, but usually daily. I also sit down to do this quick exercise when I feel off/scattered or when the energies are high like they are now.
