the in between

Not everyone will be able to relate to this post, but for the people out there who were misaligned for a good portion of their life, there is an eerie space in your journey where you are between who you once were and who you are growing into.

You’ve woken up to the parts of you that were misaligned.

And you’ve gained some clarity on what does feel aligned.

You’ve let go of some old identities, labels and attachments.

You’ve dissolved some toxic habits, perceptions and timelines.

You’ve built clarity on who you are authentically- and what that would look like in the real world.

You’ve made realizations on how you want to express yourself, dreams you want to actualize and relationships you want to build.

But you’re at that odd transformative space where you don’t fit in the life you were living- and you haven’t yet caught your footing on the life you intend to express.

I call it the in between.

It kind of feels like a moment out of time.

You don’t quite recognize who you once were.

And the authentic self you’re stepping into feels stuck in your mirror’s reflection.

So close you can see it, but far enough to not feel it.

For those of you trapped within the in between, I have a bit of advice for you to sit with:

Whenever you’re on the brink of a radical transformation, especially when it comes to stepping into who you truly are, this period of time called ‘the in between’ is the very best part of your journey.

Yes, the in between feels uncomfortable and anxiety provoking. It can feel like you’re in a vacuum of space just floating around for what feels like an eternity.

But the in between is the space to reflect back on who you were. It’s a time to be proud of how far you’ve come and how much you’ve grown. It’s a time to get crystal clear on who you are growing into before you move forward. It’s a grace period to iron out the kinks, loop back to end old cycles and solidify your core intentions moving forward.

There is no rush when it comes to true alignment.

Take your time and relax.

And the moment you fully sink into this ‘in between’, is the very first moment you begin to life a life in alignment.

All the best,

Jaclyn Marie
